By accessing or using the TailorCV website and services at tailorcv.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
The Service is available to individuals aged 13 and older. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. Users under 18 may require parental or guardian consent depending on their jurisdiction.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account, maintain the security of your credentials, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for 12 months or more, with prior notice.
You own your data. All professional information and content you submit (“Your Content”) remains your intellectual property. You grant TailorCV a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or your account.
You also grant TailorCV a license to use de-identified and aggregated versions of Your Content to improve the Service’s classification and recommendation systems. De-identified data has all personally identifiable information removed and cannot be linked to any individual. You may opt out by contacting [email protected]. Opting out does not affect your use of the Service.
You agree not to submit false or fraudulent information, impersonate others, attempt unauthorized access to other accounts or data, scrape or harvest data from the Service, interfere with the Service’s infrastructure, or use the Service for any illegal purpose. We may remove content, suspend accounts, or report violations to law enforcement as appropriate.
Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference and governs how we collect, use, and protect your information.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. TailorCV does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. The Service provides tools for organizing professional information and does not constitute career advice, employment recommendations, or hiring decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TailorCV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to TailorCV in the twelve months preceding the claim or one hundred dollars ($100).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TailorCV and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or content you submit.
You may delete your account at any time. We will remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. De-identified data as described in Section 4 may be retained. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms with notice. Sections 4, 7, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS in San Francisco, California. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for matters of data security, intellectual property, or unauthorized access.
We may modify these Terms with 30 days’ notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement.
