About This Job Family

People in this job family build relationships that create new business opportunities—partnerships, integrations, channels, and strategic alliances. They find the deals that wouldn't happen through normal sales motions and structure the agreements that make them work.

What You'll Do

Strategic Partnerships professionals build and manage high-value partner relationships that drive significant business outcomes. They negotiate complex agreements, align executive stakeholders, and create mutual value through joint initiatives. Success means partnerships that meaningfully impact revenue, product, or market position.

  • Define partnership strategy and develop the company's most strategic alliances
  • Architect partnership approaches for transformational business outcomes
  • Establish best practices and playbooks that elevate partnership excellence
  • Serve as executive sponsor on the most critical partnership relationships
  • Drive initiatives that shape strategic partnership approach company-wide
  • Influence company strategy through deep partnership ecosystem insights

Manage a Team?

  • Hire for relationship building AND deal structuring—both are essential

  • Run 1:1s that develop negotiation skills and partner empathy
  • Give feedback on deal quality, not just deal volume
  • Remove blockers—fight for legal bandwidth, exec alignment, and internal resources
